Positives
Even though we played poorly in our last two games, I believe that we made some improvement this season and I believe that we will continue to make progress this off season and bring our football program back to where it belongs.  We have a good number of returning players who gained valuable experience this year, and if they work harder in the weight room this off-season, we will see results.  This past off-season we saw great improvement over the past few seasons, we need to see even more improvement and commitment.  We showed an ability to move the football this season, next season we will need to show more consistency and better execution in order to be a great offensive team.  Defensively, we also improved.  We showed that we are capable of playing good defense, but just like on offense, we must be more consistent and have the ability to dictate the tempo to an offense.  I believe that we must be more aggressive, we have emphasized playing "downhill" this season and we have to continue to improve in that area.  Our overall outlook for next season is good.  Our schedule changes as we will play GCMS, Heyworth,  Fieldcrest and Watseka next season, and we lose Blue Ridge, EPG, Momence and Tremont.

On a personal note, I would like to thank all the parents, players and fans for their support this season.  As always, it was an enjoyable experience to work with these young men.  I am already looking forward to next season.

GO MUSTANGS!
